Consular Services
The Consular Section assists Namibian citizens in the Bahamas, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico Panama and United States of America, respectively. We also provide visa services (both non-immigrant and immigrant) to residents of the countries of our accreditation mentioned above.
Services we offer include (but are not limited to) citizen registration, nationality and passport related matters, emergency travel documents, issuance of entry visas, registration of birth, death, marriage, etc. Please note that the embassy can only issue Tourist and Business Visas. Work/Study/Research visas must be applied directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
We works with authorities of the host country to assist Namibia victims of crime, monitors arrests of and visits incarcerated Namibian citizens to ensure that they are being treated in a manner consistent with local and international law, and to locate missing Namibian. We are also responsible for assisting Namibian citizens in our consular district in the event of natural disasters or other large-scale emergencies.
The Consular Section is open from 9:00 am to 16:30 pm Monday through Friday, except on U.S and Namibian holidays.
